RENT: Renter Education For Neighborhoods & Tenants

SU2J’s Renter Education For Neighborhoods & Tenants (RENT) Project is an online and live curriculum, funded with support from the Agnese Nelms Haury Foundation. The project and curriculum were originally created in partnership with the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law and Innovation for Justice (i4J). The presentation and materials explain tenants’ legal rights and responsibilities under the Arizona Residential Landlord & Tenant Act. The intent of the project is to help tenants avoid disputes with their landlords, prevent eviction, and preserve housing stability.

If you are a community organization and are interested in partnering with SU2J to host a live RENT presentation, or if you would like to know when a live presentation may be conducted in your area, please contact us.

If you have watched the RENT presentation, are a resident of Pima County, and would like advice from a lawyer about your specific situation, please submit an application for legal help. An intake worker will contact you by phone within 3 business days.

IMPORTANT: Reviewing the RENT materials does not create an attorney / client relationship between you and Step Up To Justice. If you would like advice from a lawyer about your specific situation, you will need to apply for legal help and be accepted as a client.
